Oba’s Story

The Oba Iman Art & Design Gallery, established in May of 2023 and based in New York City, was born from faith and courage. Following the death of my mother, I realized how short life is and knew I was doing a disservice by keeping my gifts hidden. This platform is the result of acting on that powerful realization.

My art journey, however, began much earlier: My first canvas was my mother’s wall. At age five, I expressed my emotions with crayons, much to my family's dismay! That bold, early urge to create never left. It now drives me to create unique hand-drawn digital art—limited, collectible pieces that start from a raw sketch and live forever in the digital world.

The gallery's mission and identity are anchored by the visual signature: "The Creative Face." This logo embodies the artist's lifelong commitment to the arts, featuring Red for passion and Yellow for inspiration and creativity.

Oba Iman is an artist who never stopped drawing, leveraging a unique process rooted in a distinctive style: hand-drawn digital creativity blended with history, abstract line work, and neo-surrealism. The central problem the gallery solves is simple: uninspired spaces. Our mission is to solve it by Bringing inspiration to uninspired spaces!
