Oba’s Story

Oba Iman Art & Design Gallery| NYC

The Journey & Vault

It began at age five with a box of crayons in my home’s hallways. For 39 years, I kept my gift hidden, drawing in the shadows while navigating the business world. My imagination archived the soul of New York City, building a private world of texture and rhythm that was waiting for its moment to be seen.

The Revealing

In 2019, I lost my mother. In 2021, I lost my brother. These losses did not change who I was; they simply removed the door to the vault. I transitioned from the physical page to the digital canvas—using my fingers to bridge the gap between my subconscious and a new reality.

The Unwritten Symphony

With a Business Certificate filed March 26, 2023, and a formal launch on May 16, this gallery is my legacy. My work is the evidence of a lifetime’s transition: from loss to legacy, and from silence to a symphony.

I don’t want to leave this world without it knowing that I have always been an Artist. I live it.

The Process: Hand-Drawn Digital

I am a Hand-Drawn Digital Artist with a hybrid signature. I use my eyes, mind, heart, and fingers to create—blending raw Sharpie and pencil sketches into the digital world. I then hand-paint and embellish every piece to create a textured, one-of-one original you can see and feel.

The Mission

Oba Iman Art & Design Gallery transforms uninspired spaces through the lens of pure imagination.

We bridge the gap between digital innovation and physical craftsmanship. Our work is a unique visual language born from the subconscious—captured by the intuitive movement of fingers to a screen and refined with hand-painted textures.

We bring internal visions into the physical world so that you feel alive, inspired, and empowered to share your own story. This is art for a new generation: where technology meets the soul.

The Legacy

These pieces are intended to be more than just a view; they are stories for you to be a part of. They are meant to be felt today and passed on tomorrow. One day I won’t be here, and my hope is that my contribution is talked about through the creativity I’ve left in your home.

Be a part of the story. Start a legacy in your home.
